Delete your Jiinue account

You can delete your Jiinue account at any time. Here is how, and what happens when you do.
On this page
In the app
Open the Jiinue app, go to Settings, then tap "Delete my Jiinue account" and confirm. This is the fastest way and works for anyone with the app installed.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@jiinue.com from your registered phone number or email and ask to delete your account. We may verify your identity before acting on the request.
What deleting does
Deleting closes your Jiinue login across every organisation you belong to on the platform. It is separate from leaving a Sacco: withdrawing from a Sacco does not delete your login, and deleting your login does not by itself withdraw you from a Sacco.
Before you can delete
If you hold an active membership with money in its capital or contribution accounts, that must be settled or withdrawn first. Your account cannot be deleted while funds are held.
What happens to your data
Your Jiinue login and personal profile are deleted. Each organisation (your Sacco) keeps the member records it is legally required to retain, independently of your login. Deletion requests are actioned within 30 days.
